Today I really did NOT want to go out in the freezing cold. (It was 5 degrees.) My house was so warm and cozy . . . it was hard to want to put the running shoes on, and make it happen. But, I did it. To avoid having my fat-cells freeze, I wore two hats, 3 layers on top, two pairs of running pants, and wool socks. I managed to stay warm. There is a nasty layer of snow and ice on the trail, so that makes the run a little rough -- more like shoe-skating than anything. I have been running (jogging) for about 3 weeks now, and I am starting to see results. My gut is not quite as gutty. My pants go on a little easier . . . you know, sweet things like that.
My running buddy . . . I had a blanket over his head, it was so flipping cold!
I would love to see your pictures and hear your ideas/challenges/accomplishments, etc. I think it would be fun to have a picture of yourself -- almost daily -- to document progress. I would love to see images from Alaska, Arizona, Utah, Idaho, Germany . . . wherever you are, and take a picture of whatever you do. It is NOT meant to add stress to your life. Keep it simple. But I thought, maybe, it might add a little motivation . . . being able to share a tid-bit of your workout through taking a picture. It can be a picture of anything: you, the sunrise, a moose, basketball court, whatever . . . try to see life through the lens of art. Take cool pictures at awesome angles, you know . . . be creative! I think it would be fun! And, if no one else wants to join the party, I guess I will party by myself. :-) With all the new technology of phone cameras, photo streaming, etc., it should be pretty easy to do. It should only take a few minutes. I would LOVE to see your BEING ALIVE images!
This is not about weight-loss . . . it is about LIVING!
This is not about weight-loss . . . it is about LIVING!
Motivation for the day:
Not seeing results fast enough?
Work harder.

Dad's camera didn't work very well when I tried to take a picture of our walk tonight...Surprise, it was dark. Nevertheless, we are with you.
